SCHEDULE OF EVENTS & EVENT INFORMATION

Note: None of the events are qualifiers for National Games competitions

 

Thursday, March 7

12pm - 5pm: Check-in

Pinedale Aquatic Center, 535 N Tyler Ave

 

1pm: Fat Bike Tire Race - 5K or 10K

Distances are subject to change based on conditions, but will be no longer than 5K or 10K; they could be shortened if conditions are particularly soft. Races run concurrently with each cyclist opting for one distance.

1pm: Singles Pickleball

USPA rules apply with competition in 5-year age categories for both genders.

Friday, March 8

7am - 5pm: Check-in

8am - 5pm: 1-Mile Walk

Participants must WALK the entire mile without breaking stride into a run. Participants walk any time between the times listed, starting at the direction of the race timer. Medals awarded at the celebration banquet.

8am - 1pm: Women’s Doubles Pickleball

USPA rules apply with competition in 5-year age categories based on age of the youngest team member.

9am: Nordic Classic - 2.5K, 5K, 10K

Skate technique is not allowed. Races run concurrently with each competitor opting for one of the distances.

Nordic Trails adjacent to White Pine Ski Area, 74 White Pine St.

10:45: Alpine Giant Slalom

Check-in at the lodge 9am.The lift will be open at 9am with course inspection starting at 10am. Following all first runs, the course will be reset or touched up as needed, second course inspection 12:15pm and 2nd runs starting at 1pm. Division medals will be awarded onsite at the conclusion of the event. All competitors are required to purchase a lift ticket on-site at White Pine; price: 1-day ($32), 2-day ($64). Competition is by 5-year age categories.

11:30am: Figure Skating Showcase Competition

USFSA showcase rules apply with competition in 10-year age categories including all genres and levels together; if there are enough participants, competition will be divided by level as well.

Sublette County Ice Arena, 1219 Washington St

 

1pm: Swim Meet (warm-up starts at 12:30pm)

Events include 25, 50, 100 and 200 yard distances in the backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke, and freestyle; also the 100 and 200 yard Individual Medley.

Relays: impromptu relays will be added at the end of the meet if there is interest. Relays will not be medaled.

8am - 5pm: Mixed Doubles Pickleball

USPA rules apply with competition in 5-year age categories based on age of the youngest team member. Games will be held in the PAC and High School gyms; enter through PAC.

9am: Nordic Freestyle - 2.5K, 5K, 10K

Skate or classic style. Distances run concurrently with each skier opting for one distance.

1pm: Snowshoe Races - 2.5K, 100 Meter

The sprint starts will be broken down into gender and age, as needed. The 2.5K will be a mass start with all participants. There will be 15 minute breaks between races.

6pm: Celebration Banquet

Dinner is included for all registered participants. Extra tickets are available for purchase.
